Cunningham’s development connects Las Vegas school sport to international athletics. USA Track & Field identifies Bishop Gorman as her high school and her father, former UNLV and NFL quarterback Randall Cunningham, as her coach.
Her record includes a world indoor championship, a world outdoor bronze medal and repeated United States titles. She won the 2016 world indoor crown while still of high-school age, then turned professional. The family story extends beyond football: the technical work of jumping, training and competition produced a separate elite career. Her father later joined UNLV’s track-and-field coaching staff.
