White helped lead the UFC after Zuffa acquired it in 2001. The organization’s Las Vegas headquarters made the Valley a place where fights were organized and television was produced, alongside the arenas where spectators watched.
The Ultimate Fighter brought a recurring television format to that business in 2005. Its first season and finale are important parts of the city’s MMA story because they helped build a larger audience for fighters and future cards.
The UFC’s January 2026 Meta APEX announcement identifies White as CEO and president. The facility’s mix of live events and broadcast production demonstrates the continuing Vegas connection: the city supplies offices, production infrastructure, training and venues as well as a destination for travelling fans.
