The venue story
The 1.5-mile superspeedway opened in 1996 and is part of a larger motorsport complex. The oval, drag strip and short tracks have different layouts and spectator arrangements, so a capacity quoted for the speedway does not describe every track on the property.
The complex belongs to Speedway Motorsports. Race-title sponsors are separate commercial partners. The local racing connection includes the development of drivers such as Kurt and Kyle Busch and the grassroots activity that continues around major NASCAR and NHRA weekends.
Sports and events
NASCAR at the superspeedway; NHRA at The Strip; short-track racing at the Bullring; other circuit and driving events.
Getting there
Choose the correct track before planning your arrival. The Strip is the drag-racing venue at LVMS; it is not the Las Vegas Boulevard Formula 1 circuit.
