Wendy Macpherson

Macpherson won the U.S. Open as an eighteen-year-old amateur in 1986, then moved to Las Vegas in 1991. Her professional career included major titles at the Queens and the Sam’s Town Invitational, plus repeated player-of-the-year recognition.

In 2006, she won the USBC Open Championships singles event with an 812 series, becoming the first woman to claim that title. Her regional Hall of Fame biography also records volunteer coaching with the UNLV men’s bowling team in 2005–06. This is a substantial local sporting connection through residence, teaching and a career tied to the city’s bowling culture.
