Moore’s 2004 season connected UNLV to an exceptional run of amateur golf. He won the NCAA individual championship, U.S. Amateur, U.S. Amateur Public Links, Western Amateur and Sahalee Players Championship in the same year.
His university career also brought major national player-of-the-year awards. He turned professional in 2005 and went on to five PGA Tour victories and a place on the 2016 U.S. Ryder Cup team. His Southern Nevada Hall of Fame induction in 2026 recognized a connection rooted in representing the Rebels, rather than in being born in Las Vegas.
