Mike Maddux played fifteen major-league seasons for nine clubs before becoming a pitching coach. His career offers a different route through baseball from younger brother Greg’s: bullpen assignments, changing teams and, eventually, teaching other pitchers. His coaching history includes Milwaukee, Texas and Washington.
In Las Vegas, the Maddux Foundation supplied another enduring connection. Founded in 2000, it supported dental and vision care for underserved Southern Nevada children. The regional Hall of Fame describes hands-on work delivering dental supplies to schools. This profile treats that documented community role as his local tie; it does not mistake a national baseball career for service on a Las Vegas professional roster.
