Watson helped Bishop Gorman win Nevada titles in 2000 and 2002 before playing at Tennessee. His path to the NBA included Europe and the developmental league, then a 2008 debut with Golden State.
He went on to play for Chicago, Brooklyn, Indiana and Orlando. Away from the court, the Quiet Storm Foundation and a scholarship honoring his grandmother extended his involvement with young people. His story gives the Vegas basketball archive another route to the professional game: local school success followed by persistence through several leagues, rather than an immediate arrival as a first-round star.
